I can't take these goofs seriously after they took a dump on Jonathan Toews yesterday.

Yeah, by some of us having Malkin or Tavares ahead of him we disgraced his name and s**t all over him.

Before you nerds roast me, I would just like to come clean about something: I forget about Corey Perry when I made my list. Not sure why or how, but I did. Obviously he is a top 3 winger in the NHL. My bad.

i'm shocked that 3 people didn't have P. Kane on their list. easily a top 5 winger in the league IMO, probably top 3.

I chose Hossa over him. Both had very similar even strength production and Hossa can give you more defensively.

There literally isn't a game situation where you wouldn't want Hossa on the ice for it.

Patrick Kane is probably #1 on the aesthetically pleasing to watch list among wingers.

correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't hossa have the benefit of playing with stronger linemates..........especially toews. i was under the impression that kane and toews rarely play together.

if that's the case, then kane is putting up the same numbers, with significantly less talented linemates (no offense to whoever his center has been, but clearly isnt nearly as good as toews)

Hossa is such a beast. Its hard not to want to cheer for him. He's REALLY missed by the Wings and its fans.

Patrick Kane is, as you hinted at, the most entertaining player in the NHL, but yeah, I'd choose Hossa over Kane if they're both in their primes 11 times out of 10.

I forget, why did the wings only offer him 1 year? cap issues?

If memory serves correct that is what Hossa wanted. Pittsburgh offered him a 7 year 49M contract which he declined.

I think cap issues were the reasoning. They were thinking of Franzen being able to stay consistent after his career 2008 run and thought they were going to attract some major names outside of Hossa soon, too. Hossa stated he wanted to stay here, and it blows that he wasn't able to.

Agreed about the overrated. He's also pretty 1 dimensional, completely lacking in defensive/physical aspects. Apparently none of that matters.

I'd easily put Ove, Benn, Perry, Zetterberg (if you can count him as LW), Kane, and Hall over Kessel.

Ha, Phil Kessel has 8% more 5-on-5 points than any forward over the last 3 years. Didn't see that coming.

Me too. Goals and assists are easy. It's the back checking that's the skill. I'd also put D.Sedin, patches, landeskog, backes and possibly clarke MacArthur ahead if him
